Microneedling | Culver City
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling uses a microscopic needle to tighten and smooth out areas of the skin by steadily and consistently perforating it. The process is minimally invasive and successful at reducing wrinkles and fine lines. It is also used to clear up scarring as a result of acne, prior accidents, stretch marks, or surgeries.
Benefits of Microneedling
Microneedling may be the treatment for you if you are looking to treat a variety of skin issues such as:
- Skin discoloration
- Shrinking pores
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Stretch marks that need to diminished
- Skin that needs to be smoothed, tightened, or lifted
- Scars that need to be diminished from surgery, accidents, or acne
How Microneedling Works
The clinicians here at the True Jewel Cosmetic Center are specially trained for this procedure and use a unique tool known as a Rejuvapen. Using this special tool composed of eleven microscopic needles, clinicians prick the skin (epidermis) which lets your body know that it has to focus on healing in the punctured areas. As a result, elastin and collagen are sent to the area causing your skin to replenish itself. While you can’t see the punctures with the naked eye, you will however see great results from this wonderful treatment!
Results of Microneedling
You may need several sessions of microneedling (typically around three to six) before achieving maximum results. This is because results are dependent on the type of scarring or damage, the patient’s unique body, and the location of treatment. We recommend scheduling your treatments one month apart to give your body the time it needs to properly heal itself. Fortunately for the patient, Lavish Cosmetic Centers offers both discounts and packages for those seeking microneedling’s maximum potential results.
Downtime from Microneedling
When it comes to downtime, one should prepare for two to four days of rest following your microneedling session. If you have received this treatment for your face, take considerable care as it is not unusual to have redness occur for up to four days. Avoid scratching and direct sunlight until the redness has subsided and do not wear makeup for two days following your treatment. Your pores will be open for the first two days after and you do not want to risk infection as a result of clogging them up. Please contact us with all of your questions, comments, and concerns about your treatment as we are happy to assist you in any way that we can.
