Dermamelan Intimate Treatment In Playa Vista, CA

Although our intimate areas are largely covered, the discoloration or hyperpigmentation of the skin can still have implications on our confidence and physical well-being. Wearing bikini bottoms, for example, can feel like a daunting task if you’re a woman battling hyperpigmentation in the intimate area, despite being a normal occurrence in women. Thankfully, a new and innovative treatment has arrived on the market that aims to treat this skin condition and give back to women the confidence and quality of life that they deserve.

What is the dermamelan® Intimate Treatment?

The dermaelan® Intimate Treatment by Mesoestetic is a specially formulated medical-grade aesthetic treatment that targets discoloration of intimate areas, particularly in women. Intimate hyperpigmentation occurs when there is an excess of melanin production and can be attributed to the natural aging process.

dermaelan® Intimate is a chemical peel for intimate areas and works on the same anti-aging depigmentation concepts used for other areas of the body, including the face. However, the peel is specially formulated for the intimate area. The treatment is used to treat discoloration in the following areas:

  • Genital-perineal area
  • Perianal area
  • Mons Pubis
  • Inner Thighs and groins

The medical peel treatment is made up of a unique mix of active compounds that work to depigment the skin while also acting as an anti-inflammatory — one of the core causes of pigmentation.

Why get this treatment?

There are multiple reasons for discoloration in the intimate area. The most common reason for this is simply a result of aging. It’s normal for your body to change as you age and skin darkening in the intimate area is common among women. The skin in the area will change in texture, elasticity, and color.

Additionally, if you frequently wear tight underwear or clothing or are physically very active, the friction caused in the intimate area can also lead to discoloration of the skin. Shaving frequently can also cause hyperpigmentation of the intimate area.

If any of these apply to you, we understand you may be feeling self-conscious about the appearance of your intimate area. However, the dermaelan® intimate treatment is your solution.

How the treatment works

This chemical peel treatment works in 2 phases with clients seeing results after a single clinical session. Your therapist will first cleanse the area and apply protection to the most sensitive areas. The dermaelan® intimate peel is then applied to the area and left for 7 minutes. A post-peel neutralizing spray is then used before the dermaelan® intimate mask is applied which consists of a rich combination of active ingredients. An occlusive film is placed over the area and the client can return home. The mask must be left on for 2 hours.

After the required 2 hours, the film and mask need to be removed by the client at home using lukewarm water and an intimate cleansing gel with an adequate pH. The client will be given a post-procedure crystal fiber intimate mask which will be applied to the area and left on for 10-15 minutes. 48 hours after the end of the session at the medspa, clients should apply 1 or 2 pulses of a supplied depigmenting gel cream over the area.
